So you decided that you wanna rob a casino, great! The Diamond Casino Heist is one of the best ways to earn money, but you're wondering, how do I get started? Well you're in luck! This guide is going to teach you the ways to get the best out of the Diamond Casino Heist!
Step 1: Arcade
Alright to get started, you’re going to have to own an arcade. Now, it may seem better to go for the arcades on the top of the map to save yourself some cash, however this will make all the preps much harder, as most of them take place in LS or Sandy Shores.
The best arcade locations are 8-bit ($2,530,000, located in Vinewood) and Videogeddon ($1,875,000, La Mesa). When buying your arcade, none of the upgrades are necessary, as most of them are cosmetic. You’ll have to complete a quick arcade setup mission to access the basement where the diamond casino heist planning board is located.
Step 1.5: Arcade Income
While this isn’t related to the diamond casino heist, I thought I would put this in there. The arcade generates income based on how many games you have, going up to 5k per in-game day (48 min). The game doesn't matter, so you can just buy the cheapest one (Monkey’s Paradise, $90,000) and fill up your arcade with it.
Step 2: Scope out casino
After you’ve finished watching Lester scribble a big mess over the whiteboard, you’ll be able to start the casino heist. Normally, you’ll have to pay a setup cost of 25k, but since it’s your first time doing it, it’ll be free. After you’ve confirmed that you want to start the casino heist, you’ll need to finish the scope out mission. For the scope out mission, you’ll need to take a variety of pictures for lester in order to unlock entrances for the heist. A full guide is linked here but I’ll sum up the most important ones.
You’ll only need to do this mission once, and it will be completed for all future casino heists.
Step 3: Vault Contents
The vault contents mission is pretty easy. You’ll be given the rough location of a duggan security guard, once you find him, you can either hack him, which can take some time but you won’t get the cops on you if you do it right, or you can kill him and grab the phone, which will save you some time but you’ll need to lose the cops before you can enter the casino.
After you’ve entered the casino, you’ll need to bring out the sightseer app on your phone to find a wifi signal. After you’ve located the wifi signal, you’ll need to figure out the vault contents. Beware that you only have a limited time to do this (2 min).
Since it’s probably your first time, I would recommend that you go through every camera to scope out each POI. The target will be cash since it’s your first time, which has a payout of 2.1 mil on normal. The first time will always be cash (payout of $2,115,000 on normal), but if it’s not your first time, the targets can be either cash, artwork (payout of $2,350,000 on normal) or gold (payout of $2,585,000 on normal).
There is a 4th target, which is diamonds (payout of $3,257,100 on normal) however this vault content is only available for special occasions and has been removed from the vault contents.
If you do the heist on hard by doing the same approach after you’ve done another one, the payout will be 10% larger. If you’ve completed all 3 approaches to the heist, you can cancel the heist which can be helpful if you’ve got a bad target. Link to this is here.
Step 4: Selecting your approach
Once you’ve finished the vault contents mission, you’ll be able to select your approach.
There are 3 approaches to the diamond casino heist. Silent and Sneaky, The Big Con and Aggressive.
For beginners, I would recommend alternating between Big Con and Aggressive, because those are the easiest ones. For Big Con, choose the Gruppe Sechs disguise for the easiest entry. Aggressive is good for newer players however it does end up in a lot of money loss. After you’ve got the gist of it, alternate to doing Silent and Sneaky in place of aggressive for a bigger payout.
Step 5: Selecting your support crew
After you’ve selected your approach, you’ll need to select your support crew before you can do any of the prep missions.
Selecting your support crew is very simple. You’ll need a gunman to source guns, a driver to source cars and a hacker to delay the nerve agent inside the vault.
Selecting your support crew depends on the approach and target in the vault. For Big Con, SnS, any any target EXCEPT for art, you’ll want the worst gunman (Karl Abolaji, take his Micro SMG on big con, heavy revolver on aggressive and on SnS the choice is up to you), the worst driver (Karim Denz, take his sentinel classic) and the best hacker available to you, for most people, this will be Paige Harris (unlocked when the terrorbyte is purchased, gives 3:25 in the vault when undetected and 2:23 detected).
For aggressive, you’ll still want to have the worst driver and best hacker, however the gunman is up to you since you’ll be using guns a lot. I normally go with Charlie Reed (unlocked when purchasing a hangar), he takes a 7% cut (2% more than Karl) and gives you an assault smg, however you can get by with Karl, as every gunman gives you a SMG to go along with another weapon, which is still a perfectly fine weapon.
For Big Con, SnS and the target is Art, if you and your heist partner can both hack very well, you can get by with Yohan Blair (takes a 5% cut and gives you 2:51 in the vault if you are undetected and 2:01 if you are).
Step 5.5: Secret heist crew members
There are 2 hidden heist crew members that can’t be unlocked by purchasing a business like most heist crew members. There 2 are Patrick McReary and Avi Schwartzman. Patrick McReary is a gunman who takes an 8% cut and gives the choice a Combat MG or an Assault Shotgun in aggressive. Avi Schwartzman is a hacker that takes a 10% cut and gives 3:30 undetected in the vault and gives 2:22 if you are detected. To unlock Patrick, he spawns as a random event around the map. He spawns in a police car that you will need to hijack. A guide is linked here. To unlock Avi, you’ll need to destroy 50 signal jammers that are located around the map. A guide is linked here.
Step 6: Prep Missions
Now that you’ve selected your support crew, you’ll be presented with a plethora of prep missions. Some mandatory and some optional. To complete these missions, I suggest that you use a Kuruma, Buzzard or Oppressor Mk2 to make your life easier. In some prep missions, you will not be able to call lester, so be prepared. All of the missions can be done solo but it makes it easier if you have a friend with you to help you out.
Now onto the optional prep missions. Optional prep missions, are, as the name suggests, optional. The optional prep you should do depends on the approach. If you own a penthouse and have completed all of the missions, you will gain access to the security intel mission. It’s very easy to complete and you will only need to do it once. A nice trick is that the gauntlet actually spawns when you start the mission, not when the cutscene is triggered, so you can just shoot the driver and take the gauntlet. A guide will be linked below.
Let’s start with Silent and Sneaky. For Silent and Sneaky, the optional prep missions depend on your skill level. If you’re an experienced player, you don’t need to do much, only level 2 security passes. Power drills you can do if you think you have enough time. However if you are a very new player, I’d recommend that you do patrol routes, duggan shipments (you only need to destroy 3 to get rid of their bulletproof helmets), level 2 security passes, emp device and infiltration suits and power drills if you think you have enough time. If you do all these, the heist should be a breeze.
Going onto the Big Con, if you’re doing Gruppe Sechs, you don't need to do much. You only need to go through one door if you exit out the staff door, so you can decide if you want to do level 2 security passes or not. Patrol routes do make things easier, however are not necessary. Again, only do power drills if you think you have enough time. Make sure you do exit disguises. Noose and firefighter are exactly the same, so do firefighters since it has the easier mission.
For aggressive, again, patrol routes make it easier, but are never necessary. Make sure to do duggan shipments. You can solo it, but it will be much easier with another person. If you don’t get them all you can just close the game and you’ll be able to do the mission again. Reinforced armour allows you to take more damage, so I would recommend it even if it makes you slower. Be sure to also do boring machine as it allows you to enter through the sewers. Make sure to also do level 2 security passes unless you really like hacking doors.
Step 7: Finding people to play with
Now that you’ve completed all your required prep missions, you need some people to play with. If you don’t have any friends to play with, I recommend checking out HeistTeams or the GTAO Discord LFG Channels to find people to play with. Make sure to have good communication between your teammates otherwise the heist will be in chaos.
Step 8: Completing the heist
Now that you’ve got a solid heist crew waiting to grab all of that sweet loot out of the casino’s vault, you’ll be able to start the heist. If you're doing aggressive, the plan is pretty simple, shoot your way in, grab the loot, then shoot your way out. The easiest entry for aggressive is sewers, and the easiest exit is the eastern roof terrace. If you exit through the staff lobby, you’ll get shot a ton when going over the racetrack, however if you exit through the roof terrace, you can shoot the guys behind the stones on the racetrack then safely parachute down.
For The Big Con, I’m going to assume you’re doing the Gruppe Sechs approach. By doing the Gruppe Sechs approach, you can pretty much waltz into the vault and back out of it, just be careful that this has some limitations. When going back up the stairwell/elevator to the casino access floor, the guards will have checked the vault and know it’s been robbed, so you disguise ain't gonna work anymore. I strongly suggest getting exit disguises, as they will greatly help your escape. The easiest exit for this is the staff lobby.
For SnS, I’m not really going to go into too much detail here because there’s a full video linked below. What I will talk about is when to use the emp (If you did the prep mission). I recommend emp’ing when you’re at the vault access floor, allowing you to waltz into the mantrap, or when you're coming back up to the casino access floor and are in the mantrap.. Be warned that if you decide to get the daily vault when you trigger the emp, the emp’s timer will run out before you can get to your exit, so plan ahead. The easiest entrance for this is the staff lobby and the easiest exit is also the staff lobby.

Missing and Murdered Indigenous...Men? Why are there so many missing men and boys from the Yakama reservation? Part 2 of 2.

Missing and murdered indigenous people
If you have spent any time reading about true crime, you probably know that American Indian/ Native American women go missing from the United States and Canada at alarming rates. On some reservations, women experience violence and are victims of homicide at 10x the rate of women in other communities.
But what about men and boys? Missing and murdered Indigenous boys and men are the forgotten group of this epidemic of violence on tribal land and many families are aching to see the cases of their missing/murdered male loved ones solved. Just like with the missing women, men and boys are going missing at an alarming rate on tribal land, but race is not the only factor. Men (and women) of all ethnicities who live on the Yakama reservation are missing and murdered at disturbing rates.
Missing and murdered indigenous people is a complex issue with prejudice and jurisdictional issues playing major roles. Today, I want to highlight the stories of some of these men and boys, specifically those missing from the Yakama community. Because there are so many missing people who are practically unknown, I have decided to profile the cases of ALL the men and boys missing from the reservation, regardless of race.

Background
Washington state is home to the fifth largest Indian reservation in the United States, the Yakama reservation, which is home to the Klickitat, Palus, Wallawalla, Wenatchi, Whishram, Wanapum, and Yakama people. According to the US Census Bureau, only the Osage, Puyallup (also in Washington state), Navajo, and Choctaw reservations are more populous. The Yakama reservation is located in South Central Washington state, just south of the city of Yakima. Of the 31,000 people who lived on the reservation, 11,000 are enrolled tribal members. Most people who live on the reservation claim Hispanic/Latino, white, or mixed-race descent, but Hispanic is by far the most common ethnic group. There are also small Filipino, Japanese, and Korean communities nearby. The Yakama reservation is located just south of the town of Yakima, Washington, a large farming community of 100,000 people. Apples, cherries, peaches, pears, grapes, and hops are all grown in the dry surrounding region. Harvest time brings thousands of migrant workers to the area, so the population is always in flux.
Outside of Yakima is the town of Union Gap (Pop. 8000), which is partially on the reservation, and partially off it. There are two other proper towns on reservation, Toppenish (pop. 8000) and Wapato (pop. 5000). Other small communities such as Satus, Harrah, White Swan, and Granger all boast several hundred residents each. All in all, the Yakama nation consists of 2,200 square miles of sprawling, rural land stretching from south central Washington nearly to the Oregon border. But from this unassuming patch of high desert and grassland, more than 30 Native women have gone missing/were murdered. If we add Native men to the equation, the number jumps to nearly 40 unsolved disappearances, deaths, and murders. If we add the deaths and disappearances of non-native people missing from the reservation, the number grows yet again.
Although the land is vast, the tribal population is small. From my estimates over .5% of native people on the reservation are missing or murdered. Like many tribal communities, unemployment and poverty is common, appropriate housing is scare, and according to the tribal council "disregard for the rule of law and general civil unrest" as well as gun violence and substance abuse is common. In 2019 a curfew was instated after a particularly bad shooting.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the Yakama nation has the highest percentage of missing people of any Native community in the state, even though they are not the most populous. The FBI created a task force in 2009 to investigate the possibility of serial killer among the Yakama, but the investigation determined that a serial killer was unlikely, but not impossible. This was because the causes of death were so different from victim to victim. The investigation did close 2 cases on the reservation after DNA on both women linked them to a man serving life in an Oregon prison, but the man is not believed to be responsible for any other crimes in the inquiry.
Whether a serial killer is loose on tribal land or not, this issue is complex and long standing and demonstrates how much substance abuse, domestic violence, accidents, and random crime affect the native communities in this county at 10x the rate of other communities. Some progress has been made such as state bill 2951 which allows Washington state authorities to track cases and help investigate and search for missing individuals on tribal land. Because tribal lands are usually under federal jurisdiction, state authorities previously were not able to help, despite being more familiar with the area than the FBI. This is only one small step in the right direction and although awareness is growing, the epidemic of missing and murdered indigenous people will not simply go away.
Many people have heard of this epidemic, but few know the names of the victims; today it is time to change that. Below are the profiles of 20 men and boys who are missing, murdered, or who have suffered mysterious deaths. For some of the individuals very little information is available. The list below is not necessarily complete. If you know of other unsolved cases let me know in the comments below.

NOTE: all cases organized most to least recent. In order to be profiled the cases in this piece must have some connection to the Yakama Indian reservation. This could mean those who lived on the reservation, were last seen on the reservation, are believed to be missing within the confines of reservation, or are of Yakama heritage by birth. Hope that makes sense.
Missing
Bernard Schieber, 86, of Yakima has not been seen since Aug. 8, 2019, when he left his home in the 2500 block of South 84th Avenue in Yakima. His black, full-size Chevrolet pickup was found a few weeks later in a closed portion of the Yakama Nation reservation. It appears to have been parked normally and not crashed or damaged. When he left his home in the city of Yakima, Bernard had only ¼ tank of gas and no money. He suffers from dementia. Bernard is described as a white male with blue eyes and gray hair. He weighs 190 lbs. and stands 5’ 11” tall. Anyone with any information about Schieber is asked to call the Yakima County Sheriff's Office at 509-574-2500. He is still missing.
Josiah “Jo” Michael Hilderbrand aged 25 and his friend 47-year-old Jon Joseph Cleary left southern California in early June 2020 to travel to a Grateful Dead concert at The Gorge a venue in Washington state. Both men were traveling together in a light blue 2004 Honda Civic hybrid when they were last heard from on June 7th, 2019. On June 8th their abandoned burned out car was found 8 miles west of Toppenish in a deserted, rural area of the reservation. The FBI has stated they believe the men are dead but they are officially listed as missing.
Josiah Hilderbrand is described as white male, age 25, with light brown wavy hair and blue eyes. He is 5’8” and 165 lbs. He has a neck tattoo. Jon Cleary is a white male, 47 years old, and 6’3” in height weighing 230 lbs. He has brown/gray hair and beard and brown eyes. He usually wears a baseball cap.
Remains found August 5th, 2020 near Toppenish may belong to the men. The FBI is handling the case as the men were found on tribal land. The families are offering $35,000 for information that can solve the murders. Even if the remains are those of the “Dead Heads” the crimes of their deaths remain unsolved.
Strangely enough Hilderbrand and Cleary died on the same day that a mass shooting occurred in White Swan where two men, Donovan Quinn Carter Cloud and James Dean Cloud, killed five people. The shooters have been convicted in that crime and some have speculated that both crimes are related. This mass shooting was the crime that inspired that reservation-wide curfew to be put into effect.
Elias Chief Culps, 25, was last seen in White Swan on Dec. 27, 2018 and has not been heard from since. In 2015 Elias was a witness in a court case about unreasonable searches and seizures and whose jurisdiction should be involved when fugitives are found on tribal land- the outcome of that case is unknown. There is little information available about Elias’ disappearance. Those with information are asked to call the Yakama Nation Police Department at 509-865-2933, case number 19-009167. He is described as a Native American male, 5’6”-5’7” in height and 150-170 lbs. He has brown hair and eyes and a tattoo on his neck.
Jose Francisco Canales a 43-year-old father of 7 children was last heard from on July 7, 2018 in Harrah, Washington where he resided with his wife of nineteen years. He was last seen at La Guadalupana (a store in Harrah) on July 6, 2018 where he cashed his paycheck. The next day, July 7th, he called his boss to report that he would not be coming into work that day. This was the last time anyone saw or heard from Canales. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5’7” or 5’8” in height and 145 lbs. with brown hair and eyes. He has a scar on his left hand about 1” in length and a tattoo of a heart on his right arm/shoulder area. He was last seen wearing along-sleeved t-shirt (possibly green), blue jeans, brown sneakers and a blue baseball cap. He has a receding hairline and some gray hairs in his beard. Canales may be driving a gray 1994 Ford Ranger single cab pickup truck with the Washington license plate number B53351T. There may be a green 2018 Polaris 450HO four-wheeler in the bed of the truck; it has the vehicle identification number (VIN) 4XASEA509JA252860. Canales's case remains unsolved.
Rolando Gabriel "Gabby" Gutierrez, of Mabton has been missing since Sept. 16, 2017. The 44-year-old was the oldest of six siblings and was close to his family. When his family last heard from him, Gutierrez was in Puerto Peñasco, also known as Rocky Point, a Mexican fishing and resort city on the Gulf of California. He was staying in the area and had weekly phone contact with his family. Gabby was planning to come home for his niece’s birthday in October, but he never made it. One of his sisters worried that Gabby was “wrapped up” in the drug trade. In November 2019, forensic scientists in the Mexican state of Sonora announced that they had recovered 52 bodies and skeletons from a mass grave near Puerto Peñasco. Gabby’s family told an Associated Press reporter that they thought there might be a chance his body was among them, but this is not known for certain. Rolando “Gabby” Gutierrez is described as either a Hispanic or a mixed race (Caucasian/ Hispanic) male who is 5’10” in height and weights 180-260 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes but he shaves his head. He also has a zodiac cancer symbol tattooed on his arm and has pierced nipples. There is currently a go fund me for Gabby’s family so one of his siblings can travel to Mexico to give their DNA for comparison. Mexican authorities are investigating this case.
Kristopher Fowler, 34, was last seen Oct. 12, 2016. Fowler, affectionately known as "Sherpa" and “Kris” was hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and had started at the border with Mexico with a goal of completing the 2,800-mile trek to the Canadian border. He was last seen in the White Pass area only a few hundred miles from his destination. Kris was last seen at a convenience store in very rural Yakima county. Kris is described as a white male, 6’2” and 165 lbs. He has blonde hair and beard and blue eyes. He is believed to be lost in the wilderness. His step mother still hopes the body can be recovered some day. Those with information should call the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office at 509-574-2500.
Joseph Eric Miranda Jr., 24, has been missing from Granger since May 26, 2016. Reports say Joseph went to his bedroom on May 26, 2016 around 10:30 pm after talking with his father. His mother went to check on him in the morning but he was nowhere to be found. She last saw him late on the evening of May 25, 2016 and initially thought he had gone on a walk never returned. It is unclear if Miranda and his wife also lived at the house with his parents or if he was only staying there. According to one source, Miranda left his wife a note that said he “wouldn’t be seeing her for a while.” Miranda had a bank card and a cellphone with him when he disappeared, but because the cellphone was a government issued phone (a burner phone maybe?) it cannot be pinged. His bank card was last used on May 25th to buy a soda at a gas station and it has never been used again. He left his keys and his car at his parent’s home. There has been some activity on Miranda’s social security card but it is unknown if the user is Miranda or an identity thief. Joseph’s favorite movie is a 2014 film called Wild, about a girl who hikes through the wilderness of the Pacific Crest trail. His family worries he embarked on a similar journey and either got lost of met with foul play. They ask that if Joseph is out there to please contact them so that they know he is alive and well.
Joseph is described as a Hispanic male, 5’7” or 5”8 and 180-195 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. Miranda had long hair and a beard at the time of his disappearance and usually wore his hair long but occasionally cut it very short. He wears prescription eyeglasses with silver frames. He has a strawberry birthmark on his chest and a small mole on his upper lip. When last seen he was wearing multi colored swim trunks, a green long-sleeved shirt and superman flip flops. He often wears flip flops, his Rx glasses, and bandanas or hats on his head. If you have seen Miranda or have information please called the Granger PD at 509-854-2656.
Chad Nathan Stotz-Gomez, 36 of Union Gap, drifted between homeless camps at the time of his disappearance, but talked to his mother and other family members regularly. He was last seen on July 10th 2015. He has not been seen or heard from since. Some believe that this case is connected to the case of Cody Turner (details below). The same day Stotz-Gomez disappeared, there was shooting at a homeless camp between Yakima and Selah, Washington. The victim, a 36-year-old woman, was injured but the victim has not cooperated with law enforcement and no arrests have been made. Police found Stotz-Gomez's DNA at the shooting scene. Some have speculated that the shooting is connected to the November 2015 murder of Norma Emmerson, who was shot in the head outside East Selah, Washington. Some reports say Norma had information about a homicide committed by her ex-boyfriend, Raven Cutler. Cutler ultimately pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Cutler told Cody Turner's mother he'd seen Cody Turner (case below) and Stotz-Gomez together in downtown Yakima, but his information has not been verified. Other witnesses believe that the two men, Turner and Stotz-Gomez, knew each other casually and believe that their disappearances must be related.
In the past Stotz-Gomez has lived in New York and Montana and he may have traveled there. At the time of his disappearance, was required to check in weekly with the police. Stotz-Gomez is described as a Hispanic or mixed-race Hispanic/Caucasian male, 5’9” and 180-190 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes and usually wears a beard. He has the following tattoos: barbed wire on his upper left arm, a skull with wings on his right arm, the letters "SUR" on one hand, the number 13 on the other hand, and a small cholo face on his chest. Cody Turner, 24, was last seen July 26, 2015, in Yakima leaving the home he shared with his father and grandparents. Cody had been gone that day with his dog Ariel but arrived at the home in the evening where he ate, showered, and picked up some cigarettes before leaving the house again. He had his cellphone on him but since July 28th, 2015 the phone has gone straight to voicemail. According to some sources Cody was homeless at the time of his disappearance but according to others he lived at his grandparent’s house with his father. Cody has a history of meth usage and his family believes he was using at the time of his disappearance. Despite his drug use, Cody’s family said he usually returned home every evening and talked to his family daily. He does not have a history of dropping out of sight or being out of touch with his family.
Cody is described as a white male 5'5 - 5'7, 150 - 170 pounds. He has sandy colored hair and green eyes. He keeps his hair very short and tidy. He sometimes wears facial hair (a goatee and mustache) which he keeps short. Turner's nickname is Cooter. He has two scars, one on his left wrist and one on his abdomen. His ears and tongue are pierced, but he had stopped wearing his earrings and tongue ring prior to his disappearance. Turner has the following tattoos: the name "Natilie" with flames and barbed wire on his right bicep, three skulls with swords going through them on his left bicep, and a tribal stamp on the inside of his upper left arm. Turner has previously fractured his left foot and he smokes cigarettes. His case may be connected to Chad- Stotz Gomez’s case which is why it is included in this piece, even though he has no connection to the reservation.
Justin Lee McConville has been missing from Toppenish since sometime in January 2015. He was 24 years old at the time and was last seen on the Yakama reservation, but often travels to Oregon and fishes along the Columbia River. Some sources say he is nomadic and had no permanent address but others say he lives in Toppenish. McConville has a half-sleeve tattoo of a Native American man, Chief Joseph, on his upper right arm. He also has a tattoo of a tribal fishing design on his left arm and a tattoo of a Native American design on his back. He is 6’0”-6’2” and weights 165 lbs. Yakama Tribal Police are investigating. Anthony “Tony” Peters, also known as Anthony Colfax Peters, 56, was last seen in October 2014 at Legends Casino in Toppenish. According to his sister, Peters was homeless at the time, living with relatives or friends or elsewhere when necessary, but he regularly talked to his family and friends. According to his sister, Alfrieda, Tony like many homeless individuals had a complicated life. His temper sometimes got him into trouble, but eventually he always came around. His sister remembers him as a natural born artist who did powwow dancing, beadwork, and drawing for fun. He was also a good singer. In the past, he has been known to travel to other nearby reservations such as the Umatilla or Warm Springs. He has also been known to travel to Seattle. He would drop out of sight from time to time, but never for more than a few weeks.
Tony is described as a Native American male with black hair and brown eyes. Peter’s nickname is Tony, and he may use the name Anthony Colfax Peters. He has an overlapped front tooth and one front tooth is missing. He is 5’6” and his weight fluctuates regularly. His missing person case remains open with the Yakama Nation Police Department, number 15-006132.
Roland Elton Woodall Sconawah a Yakama by birth was last seen in either Lyle or Dallesport Washington in November, 2013. Both communities lie on the Columbia river in Klickitat county in what was once the land of the Yakama people. Tribal members have fishing rights in the area even though it is not technically on the reservation. This is where Roland was last seen. The 23-year-old was somewhat transient. He went missing under unclear circumstances. Roland is described as a Native American male with brown eyes and black hair. He stands at 5'6 - 5'8, and weighs 140 - 160 pounds. He is sometimes referred to as Roland Sconawah Sam. Klickitat county sheriff’s office 509-773-4545, is investigating.
Ira Kennedy Yallup Sr. was last seen at the Lone Pine fishing site near The Dalles, OR. in May 2010. His family has offered a $1,000 reward for information about his whereabouts. He is a Native male in his 50s with black hair. No other vital statistics are available and he does not even have a Charley Project page. Yakama tribal police are investigating.
Francisco Javier Mendoza was 27 years old when he was last seen in the early morning hours of June 8th 1994 leaving a 7-11 convenience store in Toppenish. Francisco was with two friends at the time. Later that morning, the three friends were outside of Toppenish when their car broke down. Francisco apparently went walking in the direction of town in order to get help and vanished into the night. He has never been seen again. Few details are available and his friends’ story is considered suspicious. Francisco is described as a Hispanic male, 5’5” in height weighing 160 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. Mendoza may have a mustache, beard or a goatee. Some agencies may spell his first name "Franciso." He was wearing a white tank top, shorts and sneakers when he was last seen. Toppenish police are investigating, 509-865-4355.
Lawrence Jay "Larry" Riegel, 57 of Yakima worked as a carpenter and contract pilot before breaking four vertebrae, and injury that left him disabled. Right before going missing Larry had a surgery on his neck and some sources claim he was in a neck brace. Unable to work, Riegel was collecting disability. The last contact anyone had with Larry took place on Christmas day, 2009. He contacted several relatives and friends including a call to his mother to thank her for some clothes she bought him for the holiday. He was supposed to join his family in Yakima for a belated Christmas dinner on Dec. 26, 2009, but he never showed up or called. Riegel’s family described him as a “chatty Cathy” who talked to just about anyone and had daily phone contact with his friends and family. Riegel’s last phone call took place at approximately 5:30 pm on Christmas day. It is believed that the call was made to Riegel’s tenants who rented a farm from him in Union Gap, a town on the reservation. His tenants owed him $3000 in back rent.
Riegel lived with his girlfriend, Ladena Mann before he went missing. Mann claimed that the couple argued on Christmas day and Riegel left the home presumably to go see his tenants. She also claimed that Riegel assaulted her either on Christmas day or on January 4th before disappearing. When Mann tried to report this assault weeks later, she was unable because she had no injuries or proof of violence. Mann used Riegel’s money and EBT card after he disappeared as well as applied for her own EBT card claiming she still lived with Larry. Mann was charged with welfare fraud and perjury, but charges were dropped when she paid back the money and entered a diversion program. In one media interview she claimed that Larry is still alive and that he has “contacted several people” since going missing. She thinks Larry is residing in Idaho or Montana and has accused his family of knowing where he is. Ladena Mann is a person of interest in Larry’s disappearance as are his tenants, the last known people to have spoken to him. Riegel’s family is offering a $25,000 for information in the homicide investigation that leads to his remains. They have billboards all over the Yakima valley asking for information. Larry’s mother, aged 90, still drives around rural areas searching for his body.
Riegel is described as a white male with gray hair, a gray mustache, and hazel eyes. He is 6’2” and weights 200 lbs. He has surgical scars on his left knee and a prominent vertical scar on his neck from recent surgery to fix four broken vertebrae. He often wears eyeglasses and he has a limp in his left leg. He is also an alcoholic who frequented neighborhood bars. Yakima Police Department Yakima Police Department (509-576-6573) is investigating.
Donnie Sampson, 71, a well-known religious leader, had been serving for eight years on the Tribal Council’s Code of Ethics Committee when he disappeared in the fall of 1994 while hunting elk about 45 miles west of White Swan, near Mt. Adams. Donnie had a heart problem and had been prescribed nitroglycerin as a result. Right before his disappearance, he told his daughter that he (and the ethics committee) “was getting into something that’s going to make everybody mad.” He even went so far to tell her that he would be “making enemies” and that she and the community would hear about his findings soon enough. He had been investigating rumors of corruption in the tribal council and the housing authority before he went missing, but other committee members refused to elaborate on the matter.
Donnie’s truck was found Oct. 30, 1994, in the foothills of Mount Adams by volunteer searchers, but searchers found no trace of Sampson. His nitroglycerin, lunch, clothing and three rifles were found in his truck. A fourth rifle he left home with disappeared with him. Donnie’s children say tribal police has done little to investigate the disappearance, which they believe is a result of foul play. For example, his children were never interviewed and his truck was found by volunteers, not official search and rescue. Tribal authorities believe that the elderly Sampson simply got lost while hunting. There are no photos or description of Donnie Sampson available. He does not even have a Charley Project page. Tribal police are investigating.
Roland Jack Spencer III disappeared in late May 1984. He was 3 years old when last seen in the area of Knight Lane and Campbell Road in Wapato, although some sources say he was last seen in Toppenish. Roland is presumed to have been abducted by a non-family member, when he was in the yard. Curiously, Roland’s mother died under suspicious circumstances several years earlier (her case is featured in my previous write up). After her death Roland moved in with his great-aunt. Roland is described as a 3-year-old Native American male, with black hair and brown eyes. Roland has a scar on his abdomen. His nickname is Do-Boy and he may go by his middle name, Jack. Roland has some severe medical issues and disabilities. One website explains that Roland experienced brain damage in the womb which lead to his medical issues. Despite his hardships, he was a happy child who loved playing with cars. He is classified as mentally disabled, hard of hearing, and suffers from epilepsy. He takes medication to control his condition and may fall into a coma without it. He can only walk a few steps at a time and has very limited vocabulary and speaking skills. He was last seen wearing corduroy pants, a long sleeved red and white shirt, and tan boots. His was declared legally dead in 2000. Yakama tribal police are investigating, (509) 865-2933.
Murdered
Darryl Keith Celestine of Zillah, was murdered Sept. 25, 1988, in Wapato. He was found strangled outside his home. Darryl, a Yakama, was only 22 years old at the time. His murder is unsolved. Very little information is available.
What happened to these men? Why are so many people missing from such a sparsely populated area?

Geode traveled north once again, leaving the park and mall behind her to cross the next way point, the gate that leads into the Onyx ward. There should be the next gym. Not knowing what to expect Geode stepped through the hallway to get confronted by a huge casino…. In the school district…She shook her head in disbelieve but decided not to judge people too early. Her first impression was as expected, A teenager came out of that casino cursing and swearing. Geode heard complaints about the “bullshit” of a Slot machine, and the absurd prices for Shinx and Nidoran. Geode was astonished that you could gamble for Pokemon. She then remembered the stories of the casinos in the Kanto region where one weird organization had their secret base right below the casino.
Geode just hoped that this idea was not a trend but rather a one-time occurrence and proceeded with wondering why the gambling hall of this city was located in the school district, no matter how hard she thought she could not make a valid argument. In the end, she just accepted it and went in to see if there was anything cool for a prize. On her way into that gambling institution she nearly bumped into a guy, that looked frustrated. She barely avoided him; she did not want to make enemies with people that have “problems”. The interior of the casino was very flashy, bright, and overwhelming. To the left of Geode stood various displays, most of the seats were taken. People played a multiplayer game where they commanded a character into battle. To her right was a section, consisting of 5 roulette tables, many young people gathered around these tables and either cheered or nearly cried tears. Most of the casino’s space was filled with slot machines. In front of them the same kind of people as with the roulette tables, joyful, and sad.
After checking the collectibles and so-called treasures she decided to leave because they were not of any interest to her.
After strolling through one or two streets Geode quickly realized, that the Onyx ward was quite possibly the smallest district so far. After turning left and then right once she arrived at the school if school was even the right word. She now stood in front of a giant complex of approximately 5 buildings. Each building was made of solid bricks and cement, stained windows, and some decorative elements into the façade of the main entrance, as well as the large building in the back.
She looked closely at every piece of art, that were carved into the walls.
After feeling like in a maze, she decided to look for the “reception” of that complex, naturally since it was her plan to take on the local gym after all.
After about an hour of running in circles or rather squares, she finally arrived at the reception, then asked where to go to challenge the gym leader. The lady at the desk just smiled and pointed to another desk with some papers on it. Geode figured she needed to fill a document, but no, it was a test consisting of whooping 90 questions…
After reading the first 5 questions her head started spinning in circles. She got confused and felt dumb as if her brain was made out of 3 yards of dirt. Disappointed and beaten down by these questions she went back to the lady and asked if there was any other way to challenge the headteacher. The lady looked confused and laughed, she then explained that the principal was not her challenge. The gym leader was, in fact, a former student called Florinia. As soon as the Woman at the desk said that name out loud, a person appeared in the distance. Geode thought she was hallucinating; the person got the same hair color as the bad-mannered son of a gun called Fern.
As she realized that it was not Fern, she led out a sigh of relief only to get analyzed by that green-haired girl. But the person called Florinia seemed like a nice person, maybe somewhat weird but still friendly. She asked for the cause of Geodes arrival and smiled as she explained that she wanted to fight the gym leader of the Onyx ward. Without hesitation, Florinia accepted and set a date for their battle. Baffled by how easy it was to sneak around the written test, our thrill-seeker hugged Florinia and thanked her for the opportunity.
Their battle was scheduled for the next day, around noon.
Geode made sure to look proper, then entered the battle hall and was confused by the amount of sand on the ground. She did not notice the electric field when she fought Julia, it was subtle. But this time she just saw the entire battlefield filled with sand. After a moment of cluelessness, she understood that each gym leader would have a certain terrain that gave them the upper edge.
Florinia smiled because she saw Geode’s face when she realized how things are when it comes to gym battles. Without any further words she sent out Maractus ”… a grass type… how lovely” was the first thing that came to her mind as Geode saw the little cactus dancer. She decided to give Pebbles an opportunity to fight. Maractus felt proud going against a rock/ground type Pokemon and started off with a Needle Arm, hitting Pebbles right on her head. But Pebbles saw that coming and countered with a fire punch, a move Geode and she practiced originally for Fern’s Roselia.
The fire punch was too much for the cactus and knocked it out. Next on the agenda was a fierce Breloom. At first, the boxing mushroom just looked at the Heavy Lady, looking like it tried to find a weak spot. Geode understood the situation and decided to switch Pebbles out. In came Numb, Breloom tried the same again, but Numb got none of that, he sprinted towards the mushroom leaving it no time to think about its next move. Apparently Numb hit it hard against its thorax leaving it unable to breathe in or out. Numb was ruthless striking again with full force. Breloom had to be carried out by the next Pokemon that got sent it, a small Cottonee, It somehow lifted Breloom up and carried it to Florinia, she petted his mushroom head and gave him time to rest.
Cottonee, filled with energy, flew next to Numb to let out a cloud of stunning spores to paralyze Numb, but Numb carried a berry for exactly this situation, he gobbled the entire berry and Knocked the cottonee into the sand, bashing its head against that little cotton fluff over and over.
To stop any dire situations Geode tried to call him back, but Numb refused, Geode screamed and forced Numb into the ball. Cottonee got sucked into its Ball as well. Florinia did not look afraid of the consequences of this furious attack and silently sent out a solid looking ferroseed. It sadly was was to bold to move out of Pebble’s way and took the fire punch like a champ. The good news, it tanked it, the bad news, it caught flame and burned to a crisp right after…
Geode quickly checked on Numb, he looked calm again, so she decided to give him another go against Cacnea, Cacnea tried to move first, but because of the sand, it took longer than Geode even expected and Numb rushed through the sandy area like it was nothing, dodging Cacnea’s Needle Arm and smashing it right after. Florinia, again stood there silently, not shocked, not confused, not happy nor sad. She just stood there and watched the Battle.
She then sent out her last desert trooper, a big bulky Cradily. Numb looked way to enthusiastic to make him back down now, and Geode decided that she would test his limits, or rather his head’s limits, she encouraged him to charge as fast and strong as he could. He understood and got faster and faster. His head suddenly had a shiny look to it before hitting the fossilized plant. The Cradily took the headbutt with its head and both tried to move forth, but they reached some sort of stalemate. Cradily spat out a seed to strike back but underestimated Numb and his speed, he dodged to then strike again to finish this gym fight. He hit and sent the giant plant to the ground.
Florinia was still very quiet, applauded, and explained why she acted as she did. She told Geode that she analyzed the entire battle to understand why she had problems with a team full of rock Pokemon. She wondered why these Pokemon could use moves they usually should not learn that easily. Geode just laughed and raised both shoulders like she had no clue either. She took the Canopy badge and called out her Crew to celebrate with them.

Extremely vivid.. way more than usual. I woke up a few times and as soon as i fell back to sleep I was somewhere new!

playing off the remnants of a dream I had about a week or so ago involving a hidden chamber in an Egyptian temple that was accessible through some kind of pit. I didn't feel like I fell down this pit but more like I slid on my belly toward a square opening that sand was falling into, There wasn't a transition of any kind I was just at the top of this chamber. Flying/floating I Was not really sure. But there was a huge triangular dome enclosure overhead with a flat center about 50 feet up, and we are clearly underground now... below were 4 staircases marking north south east west and 4 square pillars about 30 feet tall, about 4 feet wide. One of them appeared to be made of an aqueous mixture of sand that held itself in place with some mystic force. Another was solid stone, another was black as obsidian and also made of this sandy quagmire, and the last pillar was bone white. There was power in here. Radiating. I don't remember who was wielding it or channeling it I do not know. It seemed to emanate from the walls. As I descended there were ancient beings ignoring me, going about whatever it is they have done in this chamber for thousands of years. A female deity seemed to notice me as I landed atop one of the pillars, but paid no mind as she continued this never-ending ritual of whatever. I must have disrupted something, because i was leaping around, dodging blades as I landed on one side of the chamber, and I ventured into a hidden back hallway that contained weapons... blades and spears of various sizes and eccentricities. A club, various armor. There was a shelf with Jewels and gold in here, I grabbed this huge double-sided blade with two handles. Very Klingon, and for a moment I felt like I was back in the house I grew up in my room. With crazy lights all over the place but then I was back in the temple... I don't know what happened next but I charged out of the weapon's chamber ready to kick some ass...
fast forward to a completely different dream, I'm very caught up in these events that seem to be a wedding for my brother, and im involved in it somehow. I slowly come aware of my body a little at a time. At first I notice I'm wearing a glass visor of some sort, that attaches/screws into my head like the bulb enclosure on a house ceiling fan, but it's crystal clear, and doesnt hurt or anything. My movements of my body feel tight and restricted and something is wrong with my voice. Like, in my head I hear my deep voice but it's coming out of my mouth higher pitched? WTF? I look down at myself and somehow I'm in the body of a woman. A really HOT woman. Im confused at first, but im led away to prepare for this wedding i am realizing I was in someone else's body, and no one knew it was me. I thought i was going to have to marry my brother, but it was Janessa he is marrying and now I'm in a vehicle of some sort and I'm trying my best to pretend I'm this girl, and talk all high pitched and ladylike.... but I get sick of it, and to everyone's astonishment I tell them who I really am, trapped in this body. I must have transferred my consciousness into this vessel somehow after I killed "The Blood God" perhaps this is the immortal body of one of the ancient beings that was in that temple. I recall my battle with them, and I was seriously determined and ended up killing anyone who attacked me. For a second, I even thought that the body I was posessing was My Ex wife's, which makes no sense. She doesnt fit in anywhere in this scenario. As dreams do, shit just randomly changes and makes sense even though it doesn't really. im in a bathroom and it's totally fucked up. its so gross and nasty. The toilet is stuffed out over the rim, there's not just nastiness like piss and shit, there's huge rigatoni noodles in there, lots of paper, it's beyond gross.... so i leave this sick ass bathroom. I think My brothers GF clogged it up.
next dream, i suddenly come aware and i am driving with someone, to these really huge abandoned department stores, I wanna say Hills/Kmart/Ames or something, but there arent any traces of the logo left, or any color anywhere on these superstores. and when i say huge you need to understand that this is a dream and shit that makes no sense, makes sense here. The stores were HUGE. Like 5 times their regular size, and the parking lot has a labyrinth of fence running through it. I meander down the hallway of this fence place. it feels old. abandoned. dangerous. this leads to somewhere in a shitty run down japanese mall. Now I think im actually IN japan. and I'm eating this horrible, disgusting meat that is flat and pink and hard and covered in patches of white fur and pustules. It smells and tastes so gross why am i eating it? Ill never know..... I See an abandoned arcade, the usual strange arcade games that arent real that I dream about are there. Some strange bathroom chamber is in the side of this one wall, and it has this strange vending machine inside. I dont know if it vends trinkets or food, but it doesnt work. It appears the restroom area is disgusting as usual in my dreams. Shit, I dont think I've ever come upon a decent, clean place to go ever in a dream.
different dream, can't think how it starts, I'm in some strange land with people I don't recognize but im apparently friends with. It's grassy, relatively flat. SOme moderate rolling hills here and there. I find myself in what i assume is a house. There is an old, dusty bedroom that seems relatively unkempt. Is it a pirate's house? There is pirate stuff laying around. Im aware of these 2 liquor bottles. One is made into a wonky shape of a boat. I turn this object over in my hands and there is this pointy, metal thing that unfolds from the bottom, like it's a spike that protrudes from the boat shape. The more i look at the bottle the more it seems shitty, and not very boat shaped. But I do remember very clearly that metal thing. I felt it, as I unfolded it from it's home position. It was very vivid. There was a map, where the countries were liquor-filled glass pockets. This thing was a large bottle. A big, flat, map-shaped bottle. This thing was also extremely vivid. I could probably have read the text on the map if I had tried. I found myself examining it up close, and then i must have left this place but I don't recall. So there is what seemed to be a brothel, with only these really young, completely nude girls with tatoos and no makeup. Like, hippy-ish chicks. Really cute and really nice. This brothel-dwelling was suspended way up in the air, hanging by vines, or rope, and partially standing on really tall legs/stilts. It was almost like a long cocoon looking trailer thing. It wasn't totally level either. The floor sloped in parts, it was weird. So I'm witnessing two girls mess around with this guy who has an ENORMOUS dick, Like, waaay too big and unnatural. THey had these metal tools, like the metal tongs they use to pick up blocks of ice, only smaller and the claw thingy is reversed. They inserted it in the tip of his penis, and used it to extend his shaft to full length. It was odd. Did not appear to be painful. so now Im naked, and one of them is trying to do it to my dick, and Im like WOAH hey stop, mine isnt super huge you dont need to use that on me... so they had it inserted but they took it out. SO I was getting blown by this one girl, and she may have hopped on me and rode for a bit, but im not sure. but we were definitely naked for a bit and screwed around. So now im out of the raised brothel and in the audience of a medieval-times-like restaurant, only themed like polynesian/easter island/hawiian. And they were finishing up some kind if musical number. I didnt order food or anything. It's like I just passed through this place and left.
I end up in this old house that has SOO many rooms. And like, I'm familiar with the layout but im not at the same time. It's like the house reconfigures itself day to day and shit isnt in the same place where it was before. And it's most definitely haunted. The ghost entities are usually hard to see, hiding up in the corner of the room, waiting for a human to pass through so it can attack... and by attack I mean swoop down at you and, what.. possess? Touch? Piss off? whoever it happens to be. I used to get "killed" by these things and wake up, but now im better at avoiding them, and it seems that there's like, one room on the way up the steps that is super haunted because some kid died in there... but if i can get up to the upper weird floors, where the doors are up high and some are just square windows that lead to other rooms..... then there's the ductwork secret passage. I dont know how I access it, or where it usually is, but once you get up so far in this endless house i can crawl through this dark passage, and it is like a see through ductwork, its super small and cramped, and so old and dirty, but i plop out adjacent to some old enclosed balcony where it appears the dried up corpse of an old lady is always there sitting in a rocking chair, sometimes standing. She's dead, and always facing out, so i never see her face, but sometimes there is a presence... A REAL BAD ONE, and I gotta gtfo or im gonna get killed by it..... but other times theres nothing
Now I am in a circular casino. not a very big one, and it was run by these super scary drug guys... and for whatever reason I had this knapsack thing, that was kinda like a big ziplock, but not, and there was this room FULL of cocaine. And alot of the cocaine was in big chunks or clumps, maybe crack? but i dont think so, ... anyway someone fills my knapsack with the coke and im on my way down the street and one of the big scary bodyguards tells me I owe $3500 at the end of the week. I have to sell all this coke and thats what i owe the big boss... im randomly reaching in the pouch and pulling out chunks and breaking them up and snorting them, then im aware that now i got to sell it. In mid-highway some famous new personality busts down my car door to get a "dime" so I dunno what that quantity is so i break him off what i think a dime is worth and he gives me cash. Weird right here in the middle of the freeway. but i dont know who else to sell to so now im scared im gonna get killed.....

Epic in scale- mighty strange

There are many segments to this dream.. this all happened in one night, however, I have had each of these different segments as an individual dream in the past. Begin-

Another was solid stone, another was black as obsidian and also made of this sandy quagmire, and the last pillar was bone white. There was power in here. Radiating. I don't remember who was wielding it or channeling it I do not know. It seemed to emanate from the walls. As I descended there were ancient beings ignoring me, going about whatever it is they have done in this chamber for thousands of years. A female deity seemed to notice me as I landed atop one of the pillars, but paid no mind as she continued this never-ending ritual of whatever. I must have disrupted something, because i was leaping around, dodging blades as I landed on one side of the chamber, and I ventured into a hidden back hallway that contained weapons... blades and spears of various sizes and eccentricities. A club, various armor. There was a shelf with Jewels and gold in here, I grabbed this huge double-sided blade with two handles. Very Klingon, and for a moment I felt like I was back in the house I grew up in my room. With crazy lights all over the place but then I was back in the temple... I don't know what happened next but I charged out of the weapon's chamber ready to kick some ass...
fast forward to a completely different dream, I'm very caught up in these events that seem to be a wedding for my brother, and im involved in it somehow. I slowly come aware of my body a little at a time. At first I notice I'm wearing a glass visor of some sort, that attaches/screws into my head like the bulb enclosure on a house ceiling fan, but it's crystal clear, and doesnt hurt or anything. My movements of my body feel tight and restricted and something is wrong with my voice. Like, in my head I hear my deep voice but it's coming out of my mouth higher pitched? WTF? I look down at myself and somehow I'm in the body of a woman. A really HOT woman. Im confused at first, but im led away to prepare for this wedding i am realizing I was in someone else's body, and no one knew it was me. I thought i was going to have to marry my brother, but it was Janessa he is marrying and now I'm in a vehicle of some sort and I'm trying my best to pretend I'm this girl, and talk all high pitched and ladylike.... but I get sick of it, and to everyone's astonishment I tell them who I really am, trapped in this body. I must have transferred my consciousness into this vessel somehow after I killed "The Blood God" perhaps this is the immortal body of one of the ancient beings that was in that temple. I recall my battle with them, and I was seriously determined and ended up killing anyone who attacked me. For a second, I even thought that the body I was posessing was My Ex wife's, which makes no sense. She doesnt fit in anywhere in this scenario. As dreams do, shit just randomly changes and makes sense even though it doesn't really. im in a bathroom and it's totally fucked up. its so gross and nasty. The toilet is stuffed out over the rim, there's not just nastiness like piss and shit, there's huge rigatoni noodles in there, lots of paper, it's beyond gross.... so i leave this sick ass bathroom. I think My brothers GF clogged it up.
next dream, i suddenly come aware and i am driving with someone, to these really huge abandoned department stores, I wanna say Hills/Kmart/Ames or something, but there arent any traces of the logo left, or any color anywhere on these superstores. and when i say huge you need to understand that this is a dream and shit that makes no sense, makes sense here. The stores were HUGE. Like 5 times their regular size, and the parking lot has a labyrinth of fence running through it. I meander down the hallway of this fence place. it feels old. abandoned. dangerous. this leads to somewhere in a shitty run down japanese mall. Now I think im actually IN japan. and I'm eating this horrible, disgusting meat that is flat and pink and hard and covered in patches of white fur and pustules. It smells and tastes so gross why am i eating it? Ill never know..... I See an abandoned arcade, the usual strange arcade games that arent real that I dream about are there. Some strange bathroom chamber is in the side of this one wall, and it has this strange vending machine inside. I dont know if it vends trinkets or food, but it doesnt work. It appears the restroom area is disgusting as usual in my dreams. Shit, I dont think I've ever come upon a decent, clean place to go ever in a dream.
different dream, can't think how it starts, I'm in some strange land with people I don't recognize but im apparently friends with. It's grassy, relatively flat. SOme moderate rolling hills here and there. I find myself in what i assume is a house. There is an old, dusty bedroom that seems relatively unkempt. Is it a pirate's house? There is pirate stuff laying around. Im aware of these 2 liquor bottles. One is made into a wonky shape of a boat. I turn this object over in my hands and there is this pointy, metal thing that unfolds from the bottom, like it's a spike that protrudes from the boat shape. The more i look at the bottle the more it seems shitty, and not very boat shaped. But I do remember very clearly that metal thing. I felt it, as I unfolded it from it's home position. It was very vivid. There was a map, where the countries were liquor-filled glass pockets. This thing was a large bottle. A big, flat, map-shaped bottle. This thing was also extremely vivid. I could probably have read the text on the map if I had tried. I found myself examining it up close, and then i must have left this place but I don't recall. So there is what seemed to be a brothel, with only these really young, completely nude girls with tatoos and no makeup. Like, hippy-ish chicks. Really cute and really nice. This brothel-dwelling was suspended way up in the air, hanging by vines, or rope, and partially standing on really tall legs/stilts. It was almost like a long cocoon looking trailer thing. It wasn't totally level either. The floor sloped in parts, it was weird. So I'm witnessing two girls mess around with this guy who has an ENORMOUS dick, Like, waaay too big and unnatural. THey had these metal tools, like the metal tongs they use to pick up blocks of ice, only smaller and the claw thingy is reversed. They inserted it in the tip of his penis, and used it to extend his shaft to full length. It was odd. Did not appear to be painful. so now Im naked, and one of them is trying to do it to my dick, and Im like WOAH hey stop, mine isnt super huge you dont need to use that on me... so they had it inserted but they took it out. SO I was getting blown by this one girl, and she may have hopped on me and rode for a bit, but im not sure. but we were definitely naked for a bit and screwed around. So now im out of the raised brothel and in the audience of a medieval-times-like restaurant, only themed like polynesian/easter island/hawiian. And they were finishing up some kind if musical number. I didnt order food or anything. It's like I just passed through this place and left.
I end up in this old house that has SOO many rooms. And like, I'm familiar with the layout but im not at the same time. It's like the house reconfigures itself day to day and shit isnt in the same place where it was before. And it's most definitely haunted. The ghost entities are usually hard to see, hiding up in the corner of the room, waiting for a human to pass through so it can attack... and by attack I mean swoop down at you and, what.. possess? Touch? Piss off? whoever it happens to be. I used to get "killed" by these things and wake up, but now im better at avoiding them, and it seems that there's like, one room on the way up the steps that is super haunted because some kid died in there... but if i can get up to the upper weird floors, where the doors are up high and some are just square windows that lead to other rooms..... then there's the ductwork secret passage. I dont know how I access it, or where it usually is, but once you get up so far in this endless house i can crawl through this dark passage, and it is like a see through ductwork, its super small and cramped, and so old and dirty, but i plop out adjacent to some old enclosed balcony where it appears the dried up corpse of an old lady is always there sitting in a rocking chair, sometimes standing. She's dead, and always facing out, so i never see her face, but sometimes there is a presence... A REAL BAD ONE, and I gotta gtfo or im gonna get killed by it..... but other times theres nothing
Now I am in a circular casino. not a very big one, and it was run by these super scary drug guys... and for whatever reason I had this knapsack thing, that was kinda like a big ziplock, but not, and there was this room FULL of cocaine. And alot of the cocaine was in big chunks or clumps, maybe crack? but i dont think so, ... anyway someone fills my knapsack with the coke and im on my way down the street and one of the big scary bodyguards tells me I owe $3500 at the end of the week. I have to sell all this coke and thats what i owe the big boss... im randomly reaching in the pouch and pulling out chunks and breaking them up and snorting them, then im aware that now i got to sell it. In mid-highway some famous new personality busts down my car door to get a "dime" so I dunno what that quantity is so i break him off what i think a dime is worth and he gives me cash. Weird right here in the middle of the freeway. but i dont know who else to sell to so now im scared im gonna get killed.....

The myth of GTA’s map size

People frequently bring up the argument that vehicle speed can contribute to the feeling of size of the map
They say that RDR2 feels bigger than gta 5 even though it’s smaller because the horses aren’t as fast as cars
I’m gonna have to say this isn’t entirely true. GTA 5 feels smaller because the majority of its area isn’t playable, you play a bit in sandy shores and paleto bay and aside from that the whole map is just Los Santos. You don’t use most of the right side of the map that’s past the casino, none of the mountains are useful, the game isn’t playable in those areas
When talking about map size it’s important to consider playability, having shit to do. If the majority of businesses can be entered in gta 6, and you can rob NPCs with mechanics that require actual skill and finesse, if you can get paid for stunts you do while off roading, or look for any of 50 different treasures that are hidden around the map worth actual money, those are the things that will make the game feel big. Because the entirety of the map you have something fun to do
In gta 5 if you aren’t in a populated area the only thing you have to do is find a way to get back to a populated area, meaning that the majority of the game is unplayable
In terms of actual playable area I’m sure that gta San Andreas is bigger than gta 5, because although gta 5 has a much bigger map, the majority of it is mountains. In gta SA there were 3 full sized cities and each was playable
All I want is a map that’s 100% playable. This is why RDR2 can be fun despite sometimes being a mile away from another human. At any time you can hunt, or tame a horse, what have you.

What we need in gta 6 to avoid it feeling like the playable area is small

Maybe you could even choose animations which have different pros and cons. So maybe holding pistols sideways and gangster decreases accuracy but increases the amount of RP you get per kill, or hip firing a machine gun rather than holding it proper decreases accuracy but has a 1/8 chance of auto locking to the head rather than the body.
Maybe you can choose between diving away from bullets which allows you to stay shooting while dodging or rolling which allows you to get back up to your feet faster
Imagine if gta 5 has 100 brand new animations how much more interesting it would be to play. Animation variety absolutely increased the playability of a game because it doesn’t feel stale, and if you want a game to feel playable even in the most boring of places, a ton of animations is the way to do it

Gravity’s rainbow sections 26-29 summary
Hello there, here is my humble contribution to this great reading group. Thanks to everyone involved and especially to bloomsdayclock for overseeing the logistics involved in this hefty operation. I am a tad late because I had to fill in for somebody at work yesterday. Furthermore, any mistakes made I will blame on the fact that my laptop broke down and I have written this thing on my phone.
My plan of attack is very simple. I will summarize the sections in a - I hope - lucid manner and make some simple observations about the text as we go along. Here and there I will point to some passages that I think are beautiful, astute or important; simple enough right? I don’t think it will be as a complex or exhaustive exegesis as my worthy predecessors have provided, but I do hope it will provide enough fuel for the discussion below. Let’s get into it!
SECTION 26 (part 5 of part 2)
We are nearing march 23d 1945 as “Wernher von Braun, [...] prepares to celebrate his 33rd birthday”. We have just been provided with some of the yuckiest scenes in the book so our lord and saviour, Pynchon, moves away from the morbid proclivities of the White Visitation and provides us with some more comically induced and lighthearted scenes, before we get into THE ZONE.
Slothrop has become more aware of the plot that has been created to his detriment. Therefore we are provided with the first of the proverbs for paranoids: “You may never get to touch the master, but you can tickle his creatures.” Through some paranormal activity he has been conversing with, or receiving necessary information from, Roland Feldspath about systems of control, and whatnot before he goes to Germany. Feldspath reminisces on a periodical, “Paranoid Systems of History”, in Germany which asserted that the hyperinflation was purposefully created to show the failures of the adherents of the Cybernetic Tradition. This is bolstered with some ruminations on the nature of entropy (not explicity) and the problem of Maxwell’s demon. This is to provide for the fact that the way of thinking of the rocket’s was reduced to a too simplistic notion by the scientists that created them. These scientists would only realize in death the mistakes they made. A foreshadowing (sorta) of Slothrop’s own rite of passage through this book.
(I think it is clear I’m having some trouble with going over this bit; if anyone feels inclined to feel in the gaps and maybe explain Maxwell’s demon in layman’s terms, that would be much appreciated.)
We are now (really) back at the casino, where slothrop stumbles into Hilary Bounce (from Shell) - who is going to learn him about propulsion. There are some things Slothrop needs to learn before he goes into the zone, among them are: the mechanics of propulsion; dialects like plattdeutsch (which just means something like ‘normal’ German - as opposed to ‘proper’ German); and also English English. Slothrop is thinking about and discussing with Bounce the curious nature and endeavors of Shell on both sides of the war. We are hit with the second proverb: “The innocence of the creatures is in inverse proportion to the immorality of the master”. Bounce shrugs Slothrop suspicions off by saying: “It’s only a “wild coincidence,” slothrop’”.
As part of Pointsman’s experiment Slothrop is learning about rockets via German blueprints. In such a blueprint a rather out of the ordinary insulation device catches his eye: Imipolex G. Rather than just plain out asking for more information, slothrop is a bit more slick. He gets one of his ladyfriends (Michele) to seduce bounce, so he can have Bounce’s teletype to ask about Imipolex G. This succeeds, Slothrop goes down to the same party where Bounce and Michele went to - and will read the info later.
SECTION 27 (Part 6 of 2)
This party is hosted by Raoul de la perlimpinpin who has been keeping this party going for a long while. Tonight instead of the usual spiking of the punch, the Hollandaise sauce has been flavored with some grass. Due to this people are asleep on the floor, and whoever is awake is eating everything they can get their hands onto. Slothrop receives “a kraft-paper envelope” to hold onto from swanky Blodget Waxwing - forgerist and arms dealer - to keep safe from Tamara(or Italo?). This he does for good reason as Tamara, for reasons très convoluté, shows up at the party in a Sherman Tank. Slothrop - in true hero fashion - saves the day. He receives a zoot suit and a nice keychain from Waxwing as was promised early.
I think this is a prime example of Pynchon’s visual (comedic) imagery! We get some more of this in the next sections (in the Raketwerke). I have read somewhere that this type of scene taps into cinema of this era, yet should not be viewed as Pynchon lauding popular movies, but it more so being a comment on this type of popular entertainment being not so necessarily good for our original thought. (It also exerts a certain amount of control by Them on Us, I guess?) Whilst this may be the case I think Pynchon also does it because he has a lot of fun doing this! It also shows how writers can use popular cinema to their advantage, by borrowing ‘cliché’ images and making them your own.
Of further interest is the fact that the loud noise did not cause an erection for Slothrop. Is this simply due to it being a tank and not a rocket? Or “because nobody was looking”, tapping into how an experiment can change when there is an observer vs. no observer? Furthermore, Waxwing says the tank scene did happen, but the scene with the octopus did not. This is because the octopus was planned? And therefore ‘artificial’? But the tank scene ‘natural’ and therefore ‘real’?
SECTION 28 (1) part 7 of part 2
Slothrop is reading about Imipolex G and we get some information on this plastic, but als on the scientific history of plastics in general and this one in particular. Of importance is the fact that: “Chemists were no longer to be at the mercy of Nature.” One of these chemists is Laslo Jamf who created Imipolex G for IG Farben ( IG = Interessegemeimschaft = syndicate/ cartel and farben = dyes) . Jamf was originally working Psychochemie AG (previously known as the Grossli Chemical corporation). Grössli was a spinoff from the Sandoz corporation. When the Germans (under the cover of IG Chemie) did business in Switzerland they bought a large chunk of Grössli stock the company was named Psychochemie AG. So both IG Farben and Psychochemie got access to the patent for Imipolex AG. Shell oil has info on Imipolex because of an agreement with Imperial chemicals (which is also partly owned by IG Farben) which stipulates they can sell it in the commonwealth. Psychochemie AG is still alive and kicking in their “old adress in the Schokoladestrasse in that Zürich, Switzerland.” Furthermore, the rockets that are falling on top of London “with the help of a transmitter on the roof of the headquarters of Dutch Shell”, share an “uncanny resemblance to one developed by British Shell at around the same time”. This information is being gathered by Mr. Duncan Sandys at the Shell mex house. A lovely bit of shady corporate dealings fuelled by malice and greed.
On the shell mex house, Slothrop stages a hypothetical raid with Waxwing. Wherein they find no signs of Evil but only “a rather dull room”. This prompts a rumination on Duncan Sandy’s role in this supposed plot who is just “a name only a function”, it is unclear where the plot ends and begins: this is due to Them who have made the organization charts (so what is the use in even asking this kind of question. Which leads into the third proverb (and my favorite): “If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don’t have to worry about the answers.”
During slothrop’s rereading of the blue parts list which made him aware of imipolex G in the first place he finds a very special type of rocket: “‘S-Gerät, 11/000000.’” This is unusual because there he has come across an I- or J-Gerät but no S-. Furthermore he has not seen a rocket with so many zeroes before.
In the Casino Restaurant slothrop finds out (through a newspaper) about the death of his old pal Tantivy Mucker-Mafick. It is unclear whether this happened, if it happened who did it and why. What is clear is that Slothrop is getting increasingly paranoid.
He goes to Nice and tries to shake his tail by giving Claude the assistant chef his clothes and stealing a citroen with the keys in it (we find out later that They were still onto him in Nice though, but it’s a nice try!). Slothrop enters a hotel and on the top floor meets a mysterious “old motherly femme de chambre” (chamber maid). He shows her Waxwing’s card and she points him upstairs, where, there is a “kind of penthouse in the middle” here he finds three boys and girls smoking a thin cigarette of ambigious odor (might it be a cigarette dipped in acid? or is it just weed?). He shows them Waxwing’s card; he is not there, but Slothrop will get an id card the day after and a place to sleep.
After a rather unpleasant night of sleep filled with visits by various ghosts of the past: Murray Smile, Jenny, Katje and Tantivy. He is woken up by the noise of some American MPs and for the first time feels the threat their voices might hold for any non-American. His papers are brought up to his room. His new guise is Ian Scufflin, English war correspondent (hey that English English you have been learning might do you some good after all). With these new papers he’s off to Zurich!
SECTION 28 (2) Part 7 of part 2
After a long train ride he arrives in Zurich. During this ride he noticed the following in the landscape: “The war has been reconfiguring time and space into its own image. The track runs in different networks now. What appears to be destruction is really the shaping of railroad space to other purposes, intentions he can only riding through it for the first time begin to feel the leading edges of…” This is an important description of what the war has been doing and how it will affect the zone later on.
He checks into Hotel Nimbus and later makes its way to find the local Waxwing representative: a russian named Semyavin. They talk about information being/ becoming the currency of the world. “Is it any wonder the world’s gone insane with information come to be the only real medium of exchange?” (In the previous discussions Pynchon’s prescience has been a talking point; I find it to be especially strong in this small conversation between Slothrop and semyavin.) Semyavin provides Slothrop with three Zurich cafés that somebody with an interest in industrial espionage should check out. He begins loitering at these places, but is having trouble with sorting the corporate spies from the LOONIES ON LEAVE (from their “fancy asylums”).
He is accosted by a chorus of crazies and their keepers. In their song there is talk of entropy management, perpetual motion which has to do with Maxwell’s demon as well. This ties into the help Slothrop has been getting while giving nothing. Not realizing that he, himself is the information by which he is ‘paying’ for the help he’s been getting - as is similar to the way the problem of Maxwell’s demon was solved.
Furthermore there is this line where Slothrop is having trouble “telling Nuts from Keepers”. Which to me feels to be about a lot of things amongst which, the question of: who is in control vs. who is being controlled? And also about the maybe-not-so-rigid-difference between a nutcase and a genius. Which ties into Slothrop’s paranoia. Because in everyday use paranoia is seeing a connection between things that are not there, yet in this book it does not seem to be that negative (as Slothrop’s paranoia is by no means uncalled for). So are scientists who have their moment of eureka not paranoid crazies who are right and vice versa? Is a paranoid anything less than a genius who has not been able to prove the connection he sees? Or maybe I’m reading into these lines a bit much… Carrying on!
After the crazies have left him alone and some time flies by, Slothrop is chomping down on a bratwurst in Stragelli (one of the three cafés) and meets Mario Schweitar. Schweitar is from Sandoz a member of the swiss chemical cartel from the early 20’s remember? Which evolved into Psychochemie Ag (the German cover company). Slothrop sez: “I’d like anything they got on L. Jamf, a-and on that Imipolex G.’” Slothrop hears that getting this information will be difficult and also that Jamf is dead. For the info he wants, slothrop will need to raise 500 swiss Francs.
Semyavin advises him to pawn his zoot. He is not too keen on parting with it. Later he sees a car who is, ostensibly, checking him out, so we receive proverb 4: “You hide they seek”. In another attempt of hiding from them he calls his to his hotel from a restaurant asking: “‘can you possibly tell me if the British chap who’s been waiting in the foyer is still there, know…”’, this backfires, as a variety of people were watching him: they know know he knows.
As he’s killing time in the famous Cafe Odeon, he meets Fransisco Squalidozzi. They get friendly and Squalidozzi starts telling him about his heist of a German submarine and of his “plan to seek political asylum in Germany, as soon as the War’s over there…”, Slothrop does not get it as Germany’s a “mess”, Squalidozzi enlightens Slothrop with his perfectly logical reasoning. There is talk of the centralization of Argentina. The need to reign from Buenos Aires (entropy, control all that stuff). There is talk of Labyrinths. Labyrinths and Argentina? Ah there he is: “look at Borges.” Slothrop calls this centralizing progress. Squalidozzi waves slothrops (conservative Western) ideas away for mild insanity instead of rudeness. Squalidozzi further states that the war is changing something inherently: this gives him hope and is why he plans to settle there.
There are swiss people who want to assist squalidozzi in his anarchism-in-exile, he needs to get a message to Geneva. Slothrop can help him for some money. Anon, he flies there in a “battered DC-3”. He delivers the message with slickness that would make James Bond jealous. He goes back to Zurich by train, but gets off at a stop earlier at Schlieren in an attempt to lose his tail (which was succesful?). The next day he meets Schweitar to give him half his money in advance. They agree to close the deal (for info on Jamf and Imipolex G) in the mountains by Jamf’s grave. Slothrop is unable to find Squalidozzi though - so he can’t deliver his message to him…
Slothrop goes camping by Jamf’s grave and we get treated to this wonderful description of Zurich: “The city below him, bathed now in a partial light is a necropolis of church spires and weathercocks, white castle-keep towers, broad buildings with mansard roofs and windows glimmering by thousands. This forenoon the mountains are as translucent as ice. The lake is mirror-smooth but mountains and houses reflected down there remain strangely blurred with edges fine and combed as raind: a dream of Atlantis, of the Suggenthal. Toy villages, desolate city of painted alabaster…” Schweitar’s delivery boy comes along and gives him the goods. And we switch to Pointsman.

SECTION 29 part 8 of part 2
The white visitation has a small gathering at Whitsun by the sea. We find out they're in a bit of a crisis. They have lost Slothrop in Zurich or at least the secret service did. We recap to a duo called harvey speed and floyd perdoo who were/are investigating Slothrop’s sexual endeavors in London. They don’t do much though aside from eating and bickering with each other.
Pointsman is wondering when he is going to see it. He is worrying about data sets and of what can be perceived as truth/ trustworthy (evidentially vs. clinically). Slothrop being missing also causes worries at the Shell mex house, because Slothrop knows about some sensitive rocket stuff. Hehas information that Russians and Americans would be keen to have. Pointsman is also worrying about his team. So he organized a party to up the atmosphere a bit.
Pointsman, Mexico, Jessica, Dennis Joint and Katje are present. Mexico is having trouble with Jessica. Dennis Joint is eyeballing Katje who does not seem interested and Pointsman is losing his mind (what a fun get-together!). We also find out that Pirate Prentice has been asking about Katje at PISCES’ new brand office… for reasons unclear (for love or something else?). Pointsman starts up a conversation with Mexico that seems odd even for his standard. Then we find out in accordance with Murphy’s law or Gödels Theorem that there are actual Schwarzkommando’s in Germany (the hereros who will be explained thoroughly in the next sections). We go back to Pointsman losing control the party, the situation, his work, of Katje and of himself. And on this lovely note we end this section and part 2 of Gravity’s Rainbow!

[FNV] Extreme FPS Issues when Looking in Certain Directions

I had this issue early on starting this modding session a few days ago following the nuclear modlist 2020 guide. I think i had just reached the end of the animals creatures sections or the large scale textures section when i sorted my load order through mod organizer 2 then started a new game. I spawned, with alternative start, with the NCR outside of Primm when the problem first occurred. Looking towards Primm itself the fps went down below 20 at least. So i quit and moved some things around i think, or i may have then actually moved onto the large textures section then restarded once i had done that. Loading into Primm the lag had gone so i continued modding. Loaded it up a few more times in the process in some areas there was lag and in others not. At camp golf for example looking towards Vegas i got lag. One time i loaded outside the NCR camp near Searchlight, no lag, another time there was lag when looking at the fire i think. Then towards the end on the road to Vegas before that rest stop just after the bridge, bad lag looking left or right (especially left towards that place with the robots).
So i disabled everything from the early sections of the guide, disabled my part 1 mods merge which has the earlier mods in it and the lag continued.

Spongebob Sponge on the Run better plot:

The plot of this was just too random, How I think the plot should have been: The start of the movie have spongbeob annoying squidward like crazy...Poseidon needs new snail for wrinkly face so he puts out an ad for one. Squidward sees the ad and forms the plan to give gary up so spongebob would be gone too, he goes to plankton to put this plan in action. Then while squidward is there he stays with Poseidon because Poseidon gives squidward a platform to play his clarinet and show his art. Spongebob sees gary is missing, has a sad montage then he is on his way to the casino...on his way to the casino he sees a snail pet shop and gets a snail to replace Gary’s spot, the snail could be a cute factor in the movie. The lose the cute snail and have to fight to get him back along the way. They then get to the casino and party like crazy...the then lose the snail due to partying...spongebob and Patrick get bad over who was supposed to keep track of the snail so they part ways...spongebob then try’s to steal gary himself. Patrick does too, spongebob and Patrick have a fight to try and save gary and I think it could be a back and forth, like spongebob almost save gary and fails then Patrick’s try to save gary and fails (during this montage of saving gary they cook have the same cookie incident from the episode of spongebob) We then go back to bikini bottom and when mr. Krabs is down cause his company is gone due to the loss of spongebob he closes then Krusty Krab, to keep the banter going plankton tells him what happened and mr. krabs, sandy, and plankton go to save spongebob. Back to the Casino, spongebob and Patrick find out squidward is keeping gary so then try to ask him for it back, squidward resfuses. Then when the whole crew comes they show ways the helped squidward to convince squidward to give back gary and come back, squidward agrees and tries to come back. Posiden then says they can keep squidward but not gary, then they could do a crazy sad performance of gary come home and do homage to the bank geek episode...while they do this they sneak out with gary. Then when they leave the posiden could go crazy and take off all his beauty stuff and turn into the ugly guy he is, they then find the other cute replacement snail and get squidward to free the others, they then go back to the bikini bottom with both gary and the new snail with a happy song playing behind.
Some stuff can stay the same to fill time but I think that should have been the overall plot, it would have been more heartfelt and showed a more evil side of a main character (suqidward).

The Time I Got The Pass

A couple years ago, I was playing poker full-time during a gap year in college. I'm from Jersey (grew up like 15 minutes away from Anna, apparently - took the SAT's at her old high school) and was mainly grinding at Parx outside Philly and Borgata in AC when I wasn't playing online (thank god it's legal here, fuck Sheldon Adelson - wishing death on decrepit old Jews like Kissinger who have receded into the shadows long after their damage has been done is usually weak shit, but I'd laugh if Adelson caught one in the dome), but I was pretty active in the Central Jersey home game scene. One of my good friends was a home game dealer at the time and started working at this juicy game consisting solely of ex-convicts who met up twice a week to lose their drug money to each other. He'd gotten the gig through a connection with one of the game runners who he'd been selling stolen iPhone parts at Rutgers for and told me to drop by since they were always looking for new players. He said the game was "shady" and told me to bring as little cash as possible as there'd be a non-zero chance I got robbed but gave me no details beyond that.
I show up to the game for the first time, hosted in the upstairs of run-down chiropractic office off Route 1, and "fish out of water" doesn't quite do it justice. I'm a sandy-haired twink, 135 pounds soaking wet, and I waltz into this place where everyone has done 5+ years (verbalized by at least three of them, my friend told me pretty much everyone had a record, usually narcotics charges with some domestic abuse sprinkled in) wearing salmon shorts and a button-down. Still, everyone was very cordial, happy to see a new player. Among the cast of characters playing was one of the hosts, an ex-DI defensive tackle who wore the same barbecue sauce-stained wife beater to every game while draped in what looked like 20 pounds of diamond jewelry and rolled up each night in a different Audi A6. There was also "Shorty", a wicked nice guy who'd been wheelchair-bound for over 20 years after taking 5 shots from a Tec-9 for saving his little cousin from getting his shit pushed in (whenever he was dealt 9 5 in Hold' em, after the hand he'd go "man, '95. The year my daughter was born and the year I got shot." which I got him to elaborate on that first night). There was Bri, a woman in her late 30's with an awful weave who'd lose exactly $300 every game in quick $50 increments, always seething on her bustout hand, cursing out the dealer and occasionally throwing chips at them (didn't know why they let her back every game since she brought so little to the game, but it was a very Snot Boogie-esque moment, if you're into The Wire). The only other white person there outside of my friend was "Big D," a paunchy woman in her 40's who'd gone to jail for beating her cheating husband with a baseball bat (omg queeeeeeen slayyyyyy).
I started going most Wednesdays since the casinos were usually slow that night and the Omaha game they ran was very fat. I didn't speak much, and I was mostly known for being a "serious player" and for my ability to snarf down a penne vodka tray faster than "Big Anthony" despite having the effete physique of a John Singer Sargent portrait subject. One night, I'm a few Millers deep (people tolerate you draining thousands from their game better if you're not stone sober all the time) and they started bumping some tunes, not super common at home games but the host was in the mood for it. As I'm sitting there stimming with my chips, my ears perk up when I hear the ethereal melody of "Life's a Bitch" fade in. As an autistic backpacker proto-fantanofag whose music taste was birthed out of the annals of 2011 /mu/, all those Illmatic verses are practically etched into my hippocampus.
I start mouthing the conversation between Nas and AZ at the beginning, and Shorty sees me as I say "cause we spendin' these Jacksons, the Washingtons go to wifey, you know how that go" and tells the table "yo, look." AZ's legendary verse begins and I drill it. 'Visualizing the realism of life in actuality / fuck who's the baddest, a person's status depend on salary..." and the rest seamlessly leaks out of my grapefruit. The whole room erupts out of bewilderment that this skinny nerd just nailed such an immaculate verse, and they're saying "keep going, keep going" during the chorus. I do a clean run of Nas' oft-overlooked second verse and the host is out of his seat yelling at this point as Olu Dara's cornet gently glides us to the end of the track. He goes "let's see him do another one" and the game is de facto paused at this point (very rare as it stops the collection of rake) and turns on "The World Is Yours," very fitting as the next track on the album.
We collectively sing the chorus and then I'm solo when the first verse hits - "I sip the Dom P watchin' Gandhi 'til I'm charged, then / Writin' in my book of rhymes, all the words past the margin" powerful enough lines to carry me through the rest of it. When we get to the third verse, Shorty notices me skip a word in "I need a new nigga for this black cloud to follow / ‘Cause while it's over me it's too dark to see tomorrow" (Jesus, who hasn't felt that at some point?) and at the end of the track, gets his hand on my shoulder and gives the proclamation "anybody who can spit Nas like that can say nigga." The game restarts and I'm asked for an encore, so I do "N.Y. State of Mind", a fortunate ordering since it has by far the highest n-word density of the three. I briefly stumble over "45’s and gauges, MAC's in fact / Same niggas will catch you back-to-back, snatchin' your cracks and black," a difficult string of exact rhymes, but they're equally impressed. The light-skinned drink runner grabs me another Miller and they transition to listening to All Eyez On Me, disappointed I don't have the same proficiency in Pac.
Stopped going to the game when I went back to school. Hope they're still drinking and throwing cards around, they were some cool people.
TL; DR: I can say the n-word because the Dionysian transcends all cultural boundaries.

Diamond Casino Guide:
So you decided that you wanna rob a casino, great! The Diamond Casino Heist is one of the best ways to earn money, but you're wondering, how do I get started? Well, you're in luck! This guide is going to teach you the ways to get the best out of the Diamond Casino Heist!
Step 1: Arcade
Alright to get started, you’re going to have to own an arcade. Now, it may seem better to go for the arcades on the top of the map to save yourself some cash, however, this will make all the preps much harder, as most of them take place in LS or Sandy Shores.
The best arcade locations are 8-bit ($2,530,000, located in Vinewood) and Videogeddon ($1,875,000, La Mesa). When buying your arcade, none of the upgrades are necessary, as most of them are cosmetic. You’ll have to complete a quick arcade setup mission to access the basement where the diamond casino heist planning board is located.
Step 1.5: Arcade Income
While this isn’t related to the diamond casino heist, I thought I would put this in there. The arcade generates income based on how many games you have, going up to 5k per in-game day (48 min). The game doesn't matter, so you can just buy the cheapest one (Monkey’s Paradise, $90,000) and fill up your arcade with it.
Step 2: Scope out casino
After you’ve finished watching Lester scribble a big mess over the whiteboard, you’ll be able to start the casino heist. Normally, you’ll have to pay a setup cost of 25k, but since it’s your first time doing it, it’ll be free. After you’ve confirmed that you want to start the casino heist, you’ll need to finish the scope out mission. For the scope out mission, you’ll need to take a variety of pictures for Lester in order to unlock entrances for the heist. A full guide is linked here but I’ll sum up the most important ones.
You’ll only need to do this mission once, and it will be completed for all future casino heists.
Step 3: Vault Contents
The vault contents mission is pretty easy. You’ll be given the rough location of a Duggan security guard, once you find him, you can either hack him, which can take some time but you won’t get the cops on you if you do it right, or you can kill him and grab the phone, which will save you some time but you’ll need to lose the cops before you can enter the casino.
After you’ve entered the casino, you’ll need to bring out the sightseer app on your phone to find a wifi signal. After you’ve located the wifi signal, you’ll need to figure out the vault contents. Beware that you only have a limited time to do this (2 min).
Since it’s probably your first time, I would recommend that you go through every camera to scope out each POI. The target will be cash since it’s your first time, which has a payout of 2.1 mil on normal. The first time will always be cash (payout of $2,115,000 on normal), but if it’s not your first time, the targets can be either cash, artwork (payout of $2,350,000 on normal) or gold (payout of $2,585,000 on normal).
There is a 4th target, which is diamonds (payout of $3,257,100 on normal) however this vault content is only available for special occasions and has been removed from the vault contents.
If you do the heist on hard by doing the same approach after you’ve done another one, the payout will be 10% larger. If you’ve completed all 3 approaches to the heist, you can cancel the heist which can be helpful if you’ve got a bad target. Link to this is here.
Step 4: Selecting your approach
Once you’ve finished the vault contents mission, you’ll be able to select your approach.
There are 3 approaches to the diamond casino heist. Silent and Sneaky, The Big Con and Aggressive.
For beginners, I would recommend alternating between Big Con and Aggressive, because those are the easiest ones. For Big Con, choose the Gruppe Sechs disguise for the easiest entry. Aggressive is good for newer players however it does end up in a lot of money loss. After you’ve got the gist of it, alternate to doing Silent and Sneaky in place of aggressive for a bigger payout.
Step 5: Selecting your support crew
After you’ve selected your approach, you’ll need to select your support crew before you can do any of the prep missions.
Selecting your support crew is very simple. You’ll need a gunman to source guns, a driver to source cars, and a hacker to delay the nerve agent inside the vault.
Selecting your support crew depends on the approach and target in the vault. For Big Con, SnS, any target EXCEPT for art, you’ll want the worst gunman (Karl Abolaji, take his Micro SMG on big con, heavy revolver on aggressive and on SnS the choice is up to you), the worst driver (Karim Denz, take his sentinel classic) and the best hacker available to you, for most people, this will be Paige Harris (unlocked when the Terrorbyte is purchased, gives 3:25 in the vault when undetected and 2:23 detected).
For aggressive, you’ll still want to have the worst driver and best hacker, however, the gunman is up to you since you’ll be using guns a lot. I normally go with Charlie Reed (unlocked when purchasing a hangar), he takes a 7% cut (2% more than Karl) and gives you an assault SMG, however, you can get by with Karl, as every gunman gives you an SMG to go along with another weapon, which is still a perfectly fine weapon.
For Big Con, SnS and the target is Art, if you and your heist partner can both hack very well, you can get by with Yohan Blair (takes a 5% cut and gives you 2:51 in the vault if you are undetected and 2:01 if you are).
Step 5.5: Secret heist crew members
There are 2 hidden heist crew members that can’t be unlocked by purchasing a business like most heist crew members. There 2 are Patrick McReary and Avi Schwartzman. Patrick McReary is a gunman who takes an 8% cut and gives the choice a Combat MG or an Assault Shotgun in aggressive. Avi Schwartzman is a hacker that takes a 10% cut and gives 3:30 undetected in the vault and gives 2:22 if you are detected. To unlock Patrick, he spawns as a random event around the map. He spawns in a police car that you will need to hijack. A guide is linked here. To unlock Avi, you’ll need to destroy 50 signal jammers that are located around the map. A guide is linked here.
Step 6: Prep Missions
Now that you’ve selected your support crew, you’ll be presented with a plethora of prep missions. Some mandatory and some optional. To complete these missions, I suggest that you use a Kuruma, Buzzard, or Oppressor Mk2 to make your life easier. In some prep missions, you will not be able to call Lester, so be prepared. All of the missions can be done solo but it makes it easier if you have a friend with you to help you out.
Now onto the optional prep missions. Optional prep missions, are, as the name suggests, optional. The optional prep you should do depends on the approach. If you own a penthouse and have completed all of the missions, you will gain access to the security intel mission. It’s very easy to complete and you will only need to do it once. A nice trick is that the gauntlet actually spawns when you start the mission, not when the cutscene is triggered, so you can just shoot the driver and take the gauntlet. A guide will be linked below.
Let’s start with Silent and Sneaky. For Silent and Sneaky, the optional prep missions depend on your skill level. If you’re an experienced player, you don’t need to do much, only level 2 security passes. Power drills you can do if you think you have enough time. However, if you are a very new player, I’d recommend that you do patrol routes, Duggan shipments (you only need to destroy 3 to get rid of their bulletproof helmets), level 2 security passes, emp device and infiltration suits and power drills if you think you have enough time. If you do all these, the heist should be a breeze.
Going onto the Big Con, if you’re doing Gruppe Sechs, you don't need to do much. You only need to go through one door if you exit out the staff door, so you can decide if you want to do level 2 security passes or not. Patrol routes do make things easier, however are not necessary. Again, only do power drills if you think you have enough time. Make sure you do exit disguises. Noose and firefighter are exactly the same, so do firefighters since it has an easier mission.
For aggressive, again, patrol routes make it easier but are never necessary. Make sure to do Duggan shipments. You can solo it, but it will be much easier with another person. If you don’t get them all you can just close the game and you’ll be able to do the mission again. Reinforced armor allows you to take more damage, so I would recommend it even if it makes you slower. Be sure to also do boring machine as it allows you to enter through the sewers. Make sure to also do level 2 security passes unless you really like hacking doors.
Step 7: Finding people to play with
Now that you’ve completed all your required prep missions, you need some people to play with. If you don’t have any friends to play with, I recommend checking out HeistTeams or the GTAO Discord LFG Channels to find people to play with. Make sure to have good communication between your teammates otherwise the heist will be in chaos.
Step 8: Completing the heist
Now that you’ve got a solid heist crew waiting to grab all of that sweet loot out of the casino’s vault, you’ll be able to start the heist. If you're doing aggressive, the plan is pretty simple, shoot your way in, grab the loot, then shoot your way out. The easiest entry for aggressive is sewers, and the easiest exit is the eastern roof terrace. If you exit through the staff lobby, you’ll get shot a ton when going over the racetrack, however, if you exit through the roof terrace, you can shoot the guys behind the stones on the racetrack then safely parachute down.
For The Big Con, I’m going to assume you’re doing the Gruppe Sechs approach. By doing the Gruppe Sechs approach, you can pretty much waltz into the vault and back out of it, just be careful that this has some limitations. When going back up the stairwell/elevator to the casino access floor, the guards will have checked the vault and know it’s been robbed, so you disguise ain't gonna work anymore. I strongly suggest getting exit disguises, as they will greatly help your escape. The easiest exit for this is the staff lobby.
For SnS, I’m not really going to go into too much detail here because there’s a full video linked below. What I will talk about is when to use the emp (If you did the prep mission). I recommend emp’ing when you’re at the vault access floor, allowing you to waltz into the mantrap, or when you're coming back up to the casino access floor and are in the mantrap. Be warned that if you decide to get the daily vault when you trigger the emp, the emp’s timer will run out before you can get to your exit, so plan ahead. The easiest entrance for this is the staff lobby and the easiest exit is also the staff lobby.

The release of the Diamond Casino Heist DLC introduces a new property: arcades. Arcades are a passive business that allows you to host the diamond casino heist. The maximum daily income of the arcade is $5,000.
They are purchasable from Mmazebankforclosures at 6 different locations. The cheapest is at $1,235,000 (Pixel Pete’s, Paleto Bay) and the most expensive being at $2,530,000 (8-bit, Vinewood Hills).

I think I solved it.. Two stories in one

About three days ago, I started hearing stories of the Black Eyed Kids for the first time in years
I'd heard the stories as a teenager, and everyone has seen the creepy photoshopped images of freaky kids somewhere on the net, but I never paid any mind to them. I thought it was just an urban legend.
I'm a bit of an occultist(this is important later), and I went through a phase as a teenager where I studied almost everything paranormal I could get my hands on, but these days, I'm mostly a skeptic where spectacular creature phenomena are concerned. Or, I was until about 3 days ago.
Around that time, I was on a drive and I heard a really old podcast about black eyed kids... The original internet post from Abiline, and I almost wrecked my truck. The story was so similar to an experience that I had with my boyfriend back in January... But let me tell you about that first, because it's weird in itself.
I was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on a date with my boyfriend. It was actually our first date, despite having met online over a year ago, and being an official couple for four months at that point.
We decided to drive down to Baton Rouge for the weekend after the college football national championship, so partying was in full swing from the LSU victory, to party and hang out in general.
Our first night there, we decided to see a movie... I think it might have been the 1917 movie.. And we got to the theater about an hour early so we could make sure we got good seats. We got our tickets, and having time to kill, we decided to walk across the street to the Mall of Louisiana and take a quick look around, and window shop for our planned outing the next day.
It was kind of late, around 730 or so, so most of the shops were closed, but we decided to go to the Mall anyways, like I said, to window shop, and also to walk around and stretch our legs.
We had just crossed the street at the cross walk right there between the theater and the bowling alley/arcade, and it happened.
I never saw them walk up, which is odd, because I have a really hyper focused sense of observation. I grew up in a bad environment, and you learn early to take note of everyone and everything, no matter if you think someone is a threat or not. Just in case.
Me and my boyfriend, who is younger than me, and also a slim individual, had just made it to the other side of the street when two boys approached us, seemingly out of nowhere. One looked to be about 16 and the other was about 12 or 13. Both of them were caucasian in appearance, the older one having either brown or sandy blonde hair, and the younger one with brown hair. It was just light enough outside still to be able to see that much.
My first impression was that their clothes were weird. They looked like the kind of abercrombie or hollister clothes a typical suburban kid would wear... But from the mid 90s, kind of faded almost.
The older boy started talking... And it immediately creeped me out.
"Do you have a car." He just walked up to me and asked that... But, im a nice guy, and other than the weird feeling that something was off, and despite jt being such an odd question, I decided to answer....
Bear in mind, that at this point, my boyfriend is beside me, and slightly behind to my left, because he was following me and we had been talking.
But we had both stopped talking, because of how weird we both felt this situation was...
This is really hard for me to type... I'm honestly creeped out and scared at the present moment... But I want to put my whole story out there.
I looked at my boyfriend, and he had his head down, and had moved behind me. I'm a bigger guy, because I used to work out heavily before my job took over, and I could tell he was getting behind me because he was scared... And my boyfriend doesn't scare easily. Hes never backed down from a fight, and his headstrong nature has gotten him into trouble before. But now he was hiding behind me, and when he saw me looking at him, he raised his head, and shook his head NO, before putting his head back down. He also wasn't on his phone, which was weird because he had just been in the middle of a lively snapchat convo moments earlier, that being his preferred social media app.
I looked back at the boys, and neither of them had moved.
I don't know why I said it, because my first instinct was to lie and get my boyfriend away from there, but I told him "well, not really, I mean... I have a rental, im parked over there." I pointed to the movie theater parking lot.
"Can you give us a ride?"
Despite the complete sense of uneasiness I had, and the extremely strong sense that they did not need to be anywhere near my car... I was curious. I've been a youth pastor and youth addiction counselor in the past, so when I see a kid in need, my first instinct is always to try and figure out what's going on and how to help.
"Where do you need to go?"
"We came to the mall, but we need to get back to our house. Its not far from here. Our parents will be mad if we don't get back."
"Well... Why don't you call them? Maybe they can give you a ride."
I was headset against giving them a ride... Despite their average appearance, I kept getting imagess of maniacal smiles andy throat being slit from behind in the back of my mind.
"We don't have phones."
I have a habit of scanning my surroundings, and I looked up just then, to see if the other people milling around were trying to get past us on the sidewalk, or looking at this strange conversation of young men in the middle of a busy thouroughfare, but just as I looked up, I heard the younger one say
"They're not paying attention."
Heard him say. I never saw him speak, despite having stand not three feet from me, and his face being very much in my field of vision.
I also thought he was speaking to his "brother". His brother looked at him, and I heard "They can help us."
The younger one looked back at him "They can see us."
I thought this was odd, but I was more concerned with finding a polite end to this conversation, and seeing these boys on their way safely.
"I really would help you, but there's all kinds of stuff in my back seat... and we have to see a movie soon."
"It won't take long. It's not far."
The older one had spoken, and turned to face me again. I barely managed to notice that the rest of the small crowd at the mall looked kind of washed out, almost not there, really, when I saw his eyes for the first time.
They were the palest shade of green.
Yes, odd for a BEK story, but bear with me.
His eyes, though I could see them, were kind of ethereal... Almost not really there. Almost transparent. Like ghost eyes. They had bits of yellow in them. Maybe they turned blue... I'm not sure... They were hypnotizing though. I noticed fear in his eyes... Not "I'm about to die" fear, but "I need serious help" fear. The fear a kidnap victim might feel. Or a lost kid.
He looked at the younger boy again. "Yeah, he can see us".
" ask him for help. He can help us"
I was sketched out by now, and I just wanted to leave.
"I can't give you a ride... But you said its not far... Can you walk? Or can I let you use my phone to call your parents"
"They're not at home, they're still at work... Its too far to walk. Its a couple of miles."
I was desperate to get away by now. The sense of urgency to help was getting too strong, and I didn't like it, because everytime I thought about helping, I got a stronger sense that I was going to be murdered. I just knew, that If I survived the trip there, I would be invited in, and I wouldn't be able to refuse, and their parents would be inside, and it would be bad.
My boyfriend wasn't even a thought then... Except that he was so close behind me that I could feel his presence... We had to go.
"I can maybe give you a couple kf bucks for bus fare?" There was a bus stop right there...
"We just moved here. We don't know the bus stops. We just need a ride"
"Where are you from"
"Far away"
"Look, I wish I could help, but we've got to go."
And with that, I started to walk away, and made sure my boyfriend was with me. We left that spot in a hurry.
I turned around about five seconds later to look at the two weirdos, and they were gone.
My boyfriend was pissed. "I can't believe you did that!"
"Did what?"
"Talked to them!"
"What? They needed help."
"They were fucked up."
"What, you mean high? Their pupils weren't dilated..."
"No, they didn't HAVE pupils. They were fucked up."
"I didn't see anything..."
"I can't believe you didn't see anything. I'm telling you, they were fucked up. That's why I didn't say anything. And I'm not crazy. I know what I saw."
I believed him, kind of. I thought he meant drugs.
I joked with him about it for a few moments, honestly not seeing anything amiss except for their weird attitude and the insistence of getting in my car, but he got even more upset.
"Just. Stop. Talking about about it. I'm done. I'm not crazy."
And so I dropped it. Until three days ago, when I heard a story about BEKs on an old podcast show I had recently discovered....
I called up my boyfriend to ask him... Those guys at the mall back in January... Did they have black eyes?
"Yeah". Was all he would say. He was still too scared to talk about it.
But looking back... I remember that weekend. It was bad. Me and my boyfriend argued about trivial stuff... We almost broke up.
He developed a nosebleed that night. After he went to bed, I almost went crazy. I drove across town, full of unexplainable angst, and stopped at one of the riverboat casinos - the Belle of Baton Rouge. Out on the promenade... I had this strong urge to throw myself in the Mississippi and drown myself.... It was raining, and the water looked rough. I knew I wouldn't survive... But somehow, I held back against the unexplainable urge.
In the weeks that followed, he had a near nervous collapse. I was having issues at work that almost cost me my job. We almost broke up again.
I had a psychic help me do a cleansing... And things, which had slowly been spiralling into an abyss, especially with virus related layoffs, started improving.
Now, I mentioned that I was into the occult (I'm a pagan). Well, yesterday I was talking to a which friend of mine who has a lot of lore knowledge and experience dealing with the paranormal. A lot more than me at least.
I told her my story, and she wasn't the least bit surprised.
" Yeah", she told me "they're the spirits of kids who were horribly abused in life."
I thought about it.... And considered the Scandinavian Mylings... Children with black eyes, come back for revenge on the living.. Killed at a young age, and denied a proper burial.
Then I thought about another BEK story... Where the parents of the kids actually DID arrive, after a lady invited them in.
Which brings me to the second story
I was staying with some friends of mine once... And this was actually about the same time that I first met my boyfriend online.
Anyways... They were a couple, and we... Were all close. Ill just leave it at that.
They had a son, whom ill call "robbie". Not his real name.
Anyways, robbie was the coolest kid ever. He was seven, got good grades at school, and was fiercely independent. Knew how to cook a little bit, did chores, liked to chop firewood, and was known to steal alcohol on occasion.
Then he had a side of his personality where all he wanted to do was snuggle up to either me or his mom on the couch and watch a cartoon and fall asleep on the days where it raining and he didnt have school. (Mom worked weekends, and I didnt, and dad wasnt the affectionate type. and like I said, we were all close. He called me " uncle")
Anyways, he was a sweet but tough kid.
Well, one time he started having nightmares and sleepwalking... Which is typical seven year old kid stuff. No big deal. I dont remember the nightmares, because they were eclipsed by something else... The spirit.
We would all go to another friend's house for the day and come back... And the front door would be open. At first, we thought the two puppies did it. They were six month old black labs and could be rambunctious.
So we put the dogs outside when we left... And the door would be open when we got back. We called the police eventually after about a week of it, and they set a patrol for the area.
The door started staying shut... But the inside doors would all be reversed. Doors that were closed would be opened and vice versa. We were getting freaked out.
A couple of times mom would swear she heard someone on the porch outside here bedroom window (we were in a doublewide trailer with a porch that ran the length of the whole thing).
Once, i thought I saw a small figure run past the living room window, but didnt hear footprints... And there werent any prints in the sand or grass around the porch... We all looked.
This all came to a head the night that, asleep on the couch, I bolted awake when the dogs growled. The dogs NEVER growled. They were too scared to chase a frog. Innocent little puppies. The growling set me on edge, and I woke up... Alarmed... And there was a dark man shape trying to get through the front door. The dogs ran from the kitchen and tried to attack it.
Im a brave guy. Ive run into burning buildings. Jumped into a snake infested creek to grab a kid who couldnt swim. But this.... I screamed.
The whole house came running. At first, they didnt believe me (the figure disappeared). They thought the dogs were play fighting and just happenned to hit the door. But the door was locked. Every night. And I pointed that out.
Suddenly, we knew we had a situation.
We were all pagans to an extent, so we tried everything. Sage. Salt. Rituals. Sigils. And still, strange happenings. The kids sleep walking was getting worse.
I remember the dreams now... Omfl.
"I dont want to go with them. They want me to go, but I dont want to."
We thought it was a joke (at first) and told him "well hell kid, dont go. Tell them to go away."
And then, excitedly, a while later, he said "I told them to go, and to leave me alone and I kicked their butts, and they left!"
"Robbie, who tf are you talking about?"
"The other kids."
Right after he "kicked their butts", the stuff started happening with the doors.
Flash back forward. We know we have a haunting, and none of the usual stuff is working. I decide to go all in.
Im going to trance out, Edgar Cayce style, and see if I can maybe contact "the other side." It worked.
There was a lady there. She had a message for me.
"I know you think this kind of stuff is a joke, but you need to know that it isnt. Robbie in in danger. He was raped as a toddler by his grandfather, and now his grandfather's spirit has come back to destroy his soul. He will turn the boy into a monster. You are all in danger if he succeeds"
I woke up.... People were watching me (the mom and dad). I didnt want to soud weird... So I asked...
"Kat" (her, but not her real name) "Was robbie.... Molested as a child?" Her eyes got huge... Dad, who was really 'stepdad" looked at her, confused...
"Well.. People used to tell me that my mom would abuse him... But I thought they were talking shit... I caught her with her hand down his diaper one day, though, and flipped out. But I never told anyone."
Step dad looks at Kat "Is that why your mom isnt allowed to babysit him?" The situation had actually been a point of bother and inconvenience and source of several arguments between them in the last few months, when their work schedules had collided horribly.
Kat grimaced. "Yes".
But... It still didnt make sense... Because my vision said " grandfather" specifically... Unless...
"Kat... Did your mom ever claim that her own father molested her?"
Her eyes almost popped out of her head when I asked...
"Yes! But..."
"Did he ever babysit robbie before he died?" (I knew her grandfather was dead - her mother and her son were her only living relatives).
"No! He died before he was born!"
Still not making sense... But one more question... "Did your mom ever claim that her father raped her?"
Kat was practically crying. These were FAMILY SECRETS, buried for years, coming from the mouth of someone who certainly never had them told to him.
"Yes... But what does any of this have to do with the haunting?"
"The Spirit in my dream last night told me that robbie was molested as a baby by his grandfather and that his grandfather's spirit was trying to corrupt Robby's soul and turn him into a monster. If we go off of that victimized children repeat the cycle by victimizing other children as adults, then, in a sense, since your grandfather possibly molested your mom, and she likely did the same to him, then, in a sense, since he started the cycle, he was the one who technically molested your son... His sin passed on to him"
She was freaking out, full blown panic attack, and the stepdad wasnt far behind. They both stood up, alarmed.
"So what do we do?!!"
" we have to banish the old man's spirit, and protect your son's. End the cycle."
Which we did. With a series of specific pagan rituals.
But thats my theory... The BEKs were abused in real life... And then their souls were taken captive by the spirits of their tormenters.. To pass on torment to others. To feed off of happiness and replace it with pain and misery
If the Scandinavian tales are anything to go off of, and my own experience... Im not going to say invite them in... But perhaps a banishing ritual and warding charm could go a long way to preventing further harm...
In mundane terms I think those kids are already eternal slaves... But we should try to prevent harm in our own communities... Watching out for abused kids... Keeping harmful folks away from kids... Taking certain nightmares and experiences seriously and preventing what comes next...
I think of all the mysteriously vanished people and kids who never turn up again... And I wonder.
